The domain name is the first point of your website that people see before they even click through to your url. When your site shows up in the search engines or as a link on another site, your domain name will tell people what the site is about.

If your domain name is completely irrelevant to your site topic, then people are less likely to visit. In addition, if your domain name is very long or looks ’spammy,’ then the first impression is that your site is not very professional.

How to Find Good Domain Names

Choosing a good domain name is not difficult. Finding an available domain that you like can be tough; but if you search hard enough and take in all possibilities as far as where you can buy a domain, you will get lucky eventually.

You are not limited to buying domains from domain registrars. While it can be fun finding available domains and registering them, it can be even more exciting finding old, established domains which are for sale.

Where to Register Domain Names

There are many places where you can register domain names, including:

GoDaddy
Namecheap
eNom
Name.com
Moniker
Dynadot
Yahoo!
MyDomain
Dotster
Register.com

The above registrars are all ICANN accredited and provide .com, .net, .org, .info and many other extensions for registration.

Where to Buy Used Domain Names

If you want to buy domain names that are old, has page rank or would just rather not register a new domain, then you can search domain auctions and for sale websites.

Many forums have people selling domain names including forums like Digital Point, Sitepoint, DN Forum and Namepros. You will find many cheap domain names there, just do your due diligence to avoid being scammed. Research the history of the domain names before buying, and never spend more than $1000 on a domain name without paying through Escrow for safety reasons.

Alternatively, you can visit the domain name aftermarket from GoDaddy at tdnam.com. This site has tens of thousands of used domains for sale from $5 up to the six-figure mark. There are both auctions and buy it now listings there.

Other auction sites include Pool.com, Afternic, Sedo and SnapNames. You should become more familiar with domain terminology and market trends before buying domain names at auction, as the price can easily become out of hand.

Which Domain Extension Is Best?

In just about all cases, .com should be the domain name extension that you aim to acquire. There are a few exceptions to this, namely .org for non-profit organizations, .tv for sites focused on television, and international extensions for sites based in certain countries.

Regardless of which alternative extension you choose, aim to also own the .com version so that you protect your brand against copycats or competitors. .Com always has, and will probably always be, the most popular and well-known domain name extension.

Whichever method you choose to buy domain names, make sure they match your websites, are short and memorable, and will attract users to click through to your websites.

You’ve probably seen domain names for sale for ridiculous amounts of money. Think those names will lead to surefire online success? Before you get tempted to buy one of those names, read this article.

One of the most interesting phenomena on the Internet is the selling of domain names. In some situations it could even be likened to an auction-based system. There was a time in the nineties that it reached ridiculous proportions, with several people becoming millionaires from selling domain names.

Why are these names so expensive? Who are the buyers? Does domain name selling actually backfire sometimes? In what situations has it paid off? A lot of these questions have no clear cut answers, as long as the world has rotated; people have bought and sold “everything,” literally. Domain name selling would be consigned to a scam if it was examined closely.

Most of the names that go for extremely high prices (for this topic anything above a hundred dollars is considered extremely high) are domain names that contain key words that are in demand. Some of the domain names are actually category names. That’s all very well and good so far. But when these practices favor the seller over the buyer, then something has gone wrong with the equation.

Most of my grumbling against domain name reselling stems from the view that, from a branding perspective, it is a failure. Quite a number of SEO proponents argue that having key words in the domain name is good (something I have never agreed with) but the real issue is, the name alone does not make good SEO. If it is good to have the key word in the domain name, why wasn’t Monster simply called Job seekers?

I will be using as reference an excellent book by Al and Laura Ries, “The Eleven Immutable Laws of Internet Branding.” Al Ries considers domain names so important that he uses up two of his eleven laws on how to name your web site. But why am I bothering to bash a totally “harmless” practice? First, because it seems to be catching on in SEO circles; and second, it will definitely add useless costs to the cost of domain name registration and hosting, making it relevant to any one who is thinking of buying that attractive domain name. By the end of this article, you should be able to go through the mental exercise of coming up with an original name of your own.

In branding the most important decision you can make is what to call your product, in this case your web site. This concept seems to have encouraged the buying of “key word rich” domain names. A good translation of the phrase “key word rich” is “generic.” Your SEO expert and you webmaster will probably advise you to name a site which fits that description.

Sadly, most of these domain names are pretty awful; they lack imagination, and a lot of them just copy a description (common adjective) or a class (common noun) and turn it into a name (proper adjective or noun). Yet they are sold for ridiculously high prices; think www.desktop.com, www.mortgage.com, www.womenonline.com, www.seopro.com, www.etoys.com, and I am sure you think, what great names! Well, all failed in the first dot com bust; their names did not help them survive the changing tides.

In Alexa’s current top ranking web sites, it will be interesting to note that there are no common adjective nor common noun website names (the kind of names that are most commonly sold). All websites that are listed as top sites are proper nouns. In any listing of top brands there are no generic brand names (common adjectives or common nouns), yet unsuspecting buyer after buyer is sucked into the mental trap that all it takes for a web site to achieve success is a generic name.

The lure of getting generic domain names is encouraged by some SEO practitioners and is also a product of the herd mentality; SEO “experts” in all their wisdom tout key word rich domain names as essential for high ranking in the SERPs. The key word effect is negated by the fact that hundreds of sites jump on the key word rich name band wagon. The herd mentality is due to the fact that “everybody is doing it, so it must make sense,” without checking the real reason other webmasters buys up generic domain names.

The herd mentality stretches back to the first dot com boom and bust, when hundreds of websites went for generic names like www.shoes.com, www.cars.com and other common adjectives. This trend has carried on to the second Internet boom (and inevitable bust) despite all the indicators that it can be counterproductive at worst and indifferent at best. Personally the only reason I would use a generic name on a website is so as to take advantage of the current “herd mentality” and jack up the resale value.

Have you ever looked for a site you found once, didn’t bookmark or note down, and didn’t find it again? No matter how many key words you typed into the various search engines, you just couldn’t find it? Why didn’t you simply type the name into the address bar? You couldn’t remember it. Why couldn’t you remember it? It was too long, too boring, too generic or all three. The majority of names that are sold have these faults. They are actually forgettable.

Buying names because they have generic key words makes it difficult for web surfers to form a mental association between the name and your site. People find it easier to remember weird and off the beaten path names than they do common place terms and names. Everybody knows how to type in Google.com, but you may as well forget it if you are called search_engine.com — or is it searchengine.net? Or rather searchengineinfo.org? The mistakes that would arise from misspellings of your name would probably get searchers to another page entirely different from one on your website.

Consider www.sexproject.com, www.sex_info.com, www.sexinfo.com, and www.sexinfo101.com. Unfortunately I can’t remember any of them over any period of time; there are so many variations that it is virtually impossible for any of them to register in the mind of any searcher that is typing directly into the address bar. It would take a miracle, literally, for any of these web sites to make an instant impression based on their name alone.

The same cannot be said for www.clickz.com. Compare the name clicks to such websites as www.searchenginewatch.com or www.searchengineland.com (don’t forget that there is still www.searchenginenews.com) and take it for granted that search engine anything in a domain name is sure to be for sale for over a thousand dollars minimum, and to what end? To join the hundreds of sites jostling for sandbox positions in the SERPs? All the above have generic terms in their name, and all the rest with such terms in their names will be viewed as good buys. But isn’t there a mix up somewhere?

When buying a site that has a prior reputation and a prior standing in the market for particular key words (for example Developer shed buying up http://www.seochat.com/ or Google is buying www.jotspot.com) the buyer is actually buying the brand. No matter how cluttered the domain name is with key words, what is relevant is the way the site is identified in the minds of its searchers. Incidentally, the number of surfers is usually counted by using either registered users or daily number of page views.

Now let’s look at the usual situation where a buyer, simply because s/he believes that a domain name is “key word rich” (my translation is generic), buys that domain name from a speculator for a hundred times the original price or even more. With no real idea of what to do next to get the domain name into the minds of users, apart from hoping they will type it into the address bar, such a move is sure to be counterproductive.

Another situation is one that arises when buyers buy a domain name hoping to cash in on another site’s popularity. For example, buying a domain name such as www.my_yahoofinance.net to cash in on a successful brands name is probably copyright infringement. It’s mostly phishers, scammers and also some MFA sites, who participate in this particular type of domain name buying.

Others buy names which closely approximate popular brands to take advantage of misspellings by users (like the user won’t notice). There is a massive difference between the services of www.technorati.com and www.technocrati.com. Of course if you just want a Made for Ad Sense site (or worse, if you are actually a scammer) these names are all well and good. But if you are serious about building a serious long term Internet presence, you may as well forget it.

A recent high profile case occurred between Google and adult search engine Booble. Google sued the adult search engine for “aiming to deceive” with its look-alike domain name. Google’s case ultimately failed, but other situations may not end up the same way. Companies are not afraid to defend their copyrights, and the results may not always be pleasant for the infringing company depending on how that jury interprets the situation.

Here are some ridiculous fees that were paid for “hot” domain names that ended up as spectacular failures (note that at purchase most of these domain names were just that, “domain names”). The name www.business.com was bought for 7.5 million dollars, www.wine.com was bought $3 million, and www.wallstreet.com was bought for $1.3 million. All failed as websites (unimaginable, huh?). Fortunately, those times have ended. Now such domain names are “reasonably” priced to tempt the average webmaster. I mean $1500 is a measly amount to pay for http://www.quickloans.com/ right? Wrong, it will probably fail in as spectacular a manner as those in the first dot com boom.

Over and over again, the most successful brands on and off the net have been proper names. AOL and Yahoo! were the first Internet brands to break into Interbrand’s top hundred lists. The most successful Internet brands created their domain names using basic rules of naming which work for every naming situation.

Yes, some people are much better at naming things (and websites) than others. Over time we will look at these situations and see how best to come up with a domain name that should work, and not cost you anything more than $15 (at the most). Before then, next time you see that “must have” domain name for sale, take a deep breath and consider finding an alternative.

Choosing a good domain name is one of most important steps in setting up your online business. And with more web sites being launched every day, it is certainly not getting any easier to find good domain names that are still available. So what exactly makes a good domain name?

Easy to Remember – Your domain name should be memorable and easy for visitors to recall and type into their browser.

Relevant – Your domain name should be relevant to your business and to the content on your web site.

Short Name – Although domain names can be up to 67 characters, your domain name should be shorter, preferably seven characters or less. Shorter domain names are easier to remember, easier to type and less susceptible to mistakes. Domain names with seven characters or less are harder to come by these days, so you may have to settle for a domain name that is slightly longer.

Top Level Domain

If your business is in the US or if your web site is targeting a global audience then you should use .com as your top-level domain. Generally .net and .org domains are not perceived as being as professional as .com domains. If however you are marketing to a local audience in another country, for example in UK or Australia, then using the local .com domain such as .com.uk or .com.au may make it easier for visitors to recognize that your site is local.

Keyword Optimized – If possible your domain name should contain popular keywords relating to your topic. This will help your site to rank high in the natural rankings of search engines. Use a keyword tool such as Good Keywords to check which keywords are searched more frequently.

Consider Hyphenated Names – If you are having trouble getting the name you want, consider a hyphenated domain name, e.g. barbecue-grills.com. However the downside of this approach is that some people will forget the hyphen when typing your domain name.

How Does it Sound? – If you tell a friend your domain name over the phone, will they easily be able to spell it correctly the first time?

No Trademark Conflicts – Make certain that your domain name is free of legal conflicts due to trademarks belonging to other businesses. Your new site at GoogleSecrets.com might attract a lot of traffic but it will probably attract even more after your court case is in the headlines for breaching Google’s trademark! Stay clear of other companies’ names and trademarks.

A good place to check if a domain name is available is Whois.org. Keep these tips in mind, and you will be well on your way to choosing a good domain name.

It’s been two years since John started his online business. He
is very much satisfied with his current web host whose services
he acquired one year ago. Today John is relaxing in his chair
and thinking about the initial days when he spent many hours on
the Internet collecting information related to web hosting. Like
him there are many John’s out there who are in search of
information everyday, visiting this and that website hoping to
find the most illuminating advice. The problem is that common
topics of interest can be found on most of the websites whereas
other relevant issues are not dealt with everywhere. This
article is going to touch on one of those areas: various
concerns related with domain names.

What is multiple domain hosting? Many times you will see that a
web host offers multiple domain hosting. In simpler words it
means that on buying an account you will have the ability to get
multiple websites. For instance, if the plan provides you with
five domain names, you can use one domain for your website and
you will still have four domain names leftover to use. The
advantage of this scenario is that you can resell these four
domain names to your clients.

What is Domain Parking? If you are planning to build up a
website and have decided on a name for it you then must purchase
that domain name from a domain registrar: i.e. your domain name
gets placed on a name server so that you can use it later on.
This is known as domain parking. Even if your website content is
not ready, it’s better to park your desired domain name.
Otherwise, it might be possible that in future somebody else
acquires that particular domain name.

What are sub domains? Sub domains are ‘third level’ domains in
the sense that they are used solely to organize your website
content. They are simply folders under your root directory, but
to access them a special URL is used. For instance,
http://www.m6.net is a regular URL without a sub domain.
http://features.m6.net is an URL with the sub domain name:
“features”. Here the: .net: is the first level domain, m6: is
the second level domain, features: is the third level domain

For how long does a domain name belong to you? Generally when
you register a domain name it is registered for a minimum of one
year. However, you can register it for more years, as there is
no hard and fast rule as such.

What is Domain Renewal? After one year you need to renew your
domain name so that your website doesn’t get lost. Generally
when your domain is about to expire your domain registrar will
send you a reminder mail regarding the domain renewal.

What happens when your domain name expires? When your domain
name expires you can renew it within one month. If you don’t
renew it in this period it goes into a redemption phase. It
stays in this redemption phase for 15 to 30 days before it is
then available for purchase again at a normal price. Getting a
domain name out of redemption phase is like buying fifty domains
as it can cost around $200!

How to find out the owner of a domain name? To find out the
owner of a domain name, use the WhoIs search tool on the
Internet .For E.g. Go to http://centralops.net/co/ and type the
domain name under Domain Dossier. It will show you the name of
the registrant/domain’s owner/web host.

What is WhoIs record? WhoIS record is a domain name search
engine/Internet program where users can enter an Internet entity
(e.g. a domain, a network, some hosts) and it will give detailed
information on the domain registrar, the owner of the domain,
and respective DNS records.

What is domain real estate and how can you make money with it? Well as the title says, its real estate for your domains. You can buy and or sell domains that you own. The best thing you can do is to NOT just go out and register a domain name and expect it to sell for thousands of dollars.

If you expect to be able to buy a domain name that you just registered and sell it, your crazy! In order to sell a domain, and have it be worth anything it either has to be brand-able (hotels.com, cars.com photography.com), or it has to be worth something to begin with. A domain is worth something, usually when its already developed into an existing website.

This isn’t always the case, but more often than not it is. Example, I bought a domain at the beginning of 08 for $9.99 on NameCheap, just because I was curious about this domain real estate thing. On sites like estibot it was worth zero, it had no back links, no rank, brand new. So I decided to get it developed, which is one of the most important things for any domain name.

With in 7 months it went from being worth zero to being worth over $1500. Again not that much money. But by having it developed and getting back links to it, it was raised from PR0 to PR3 in just a month, and every single week the price goes up $10-$20. This website isn’t anything spectacular. Its just a one page, developed joke site. So imagine how much a domain could be worth if you really got involved in developing it!

Once you get it developed, and its actually worth something to someone (an individual or a company) you can sell this domain for money. Domain real estate follows the buy low sell high rule. You could easily buy a domain for $5000 and sell it in a few months or a year for triple that amount, if you work at it. Or in some instances like mine you can register a domain name, develop it, market it, get traffic to it, and sell it in a year for a few grand.

And yes, people do this for a living and actually make really great money at it. The real point is having “an eye” for a good domain name. The rules have sort of changed over the years, but it used to be that the domain was considered worthy if it was brand-able, one worded (cat, dog, art, photography, truck, car, fabulous etc), and if it was a .com extension. Now this still does come in hand when doing domain real estate, but there’s also a new rule. A domain name may not always be worth very much to an individual, but it might be worth a lot to the end user. An end user, is someone that is actually going to use the domain and not resell it like you may have.

So StumpSomeone may not be worth anything to you or me, but to someone interested in having a joke website, they might be willing to pay a pretty penny for it, sometimes its good to sit on a domain for awhile rather than just sell it right away. Find the right buyer. But don’t ask for a price that no one is willing to pay because then you will never sell the domain and that’s NOT what you want. There are tons of sites you can find more info on about domain real estate. Here are a few really good reference and resource sites you can take a look at; NamePros, Sedo, Moniker etc.

One of the best services that I could do for mankind on the Internet is to shout from the mountain top, “Do not buy ready made, “cookie cutter” websites”. These usually only make the seller any money.

A “cookie cutter” site is one that the builder creates so the title of the site can be easily changed to your domain name and the sites can be stamped out like using a “cookie cutter”. The site is sold under the pretense that all you have to do to make LOTS of money is buy the site and pay to have it hosted on the Internet. The site has ready made links to products and services from which you are told will make a commission each time a person clicks a link. Usually the products and services are sold by the company that developed the website so they make most of the money if you do get a sale. They keep telling you, “Just think how much money you will make by having a site like this on the Internet”.

For those of you who have “cookie cutter” sites, it’s time for true confessions. When I first started on the Internet I did not know the magic word “traffic”. I was naïve and thought that all you did was set up a website and the world beat a path to it to click on your offerings. I read an ad that said, “My little website made me $11,000 in a week”. I thought, “Wow, if that site made him that much money, just a small percentage of that will be fine with me”. Little did I know that the marketer who sold this “cookie cutter” site had a list of over 40,000 to which to promote the web site.

There were several testimonials in his sales letter about how people who had bought the site were raking in the money. When I later researched the testimonials, I found that these were from other Internet marketers who had large lists and could drive traffic to their “cookie cutter” sites.Beware of the fraternity of Internet marketers. They scratch each other’s backs.

I bought the site and guess what. The only benefit I received from it was from some really good bonuses that were attached to the deal. It was a “live and learn” experience. I have justified it to myself that the bonuses were worth the amount I paid, but they really weren’t.

Since then I have seen many of these sites on the Net, and I really think it is a shame that people do this to other people.

The time and money spent trying to promote someone else’s “cookie cutter” site could be better spent creating your own site with your own personality.

So much of what is sold on the Internet should require the seller to tell “the rest of the story” to quote Paul Harvey. The untold part of the truth is really a lie.

You can build your own website with the right guidance and assistance. For more information about building your own website instead of paying for another “cookie cutter site”, click the following link:

There are many different types of web hosting available. Which type one chooses should hinge upon what one wants to accomplish with his or her web site. Some web hosting services are free, but place ads on web sites. Whereas other web hosting types can be more expensive, but provide a lot more assistance and bandwidth. The four main web hosting types are free web hosting, shared web hosting, and dedicated web hosting (both managed and unmanaged).

Free web hosting is the simplest kind of web hosting that one can get. This type of web hosting is usually supported by ads on hosted web sites. Features for this type of web hosting are limited, and therefore it is a better option for people who are just starting out on the Internet and are interested in having a small site with little traffic. The type of domain one receives in free web hosting is typically a subdomain (yoursite.webhost.com) or a directory (www.webhost.com/~yoursite). Most free web hosts do not have support for MySQL, multiple e-mail accounts, and PHP.

Shared web hosting is actually the most popular type of web hosting service. Shared web hosting allows more than one site to be hosted on the same server. Additionally, the hosts provide system administration. For users that do not want to have the burden of running a sever, shared web hosting is a great choice. The individual hosting plan may differ, but most hosts provide the user with elements such as PHP, ASP, MySQL, more bandwidth, and multiple e-mail addresses. More services are often available in shared web hosting than are available with simple free web hosting (including the ability to have your own domain name!).

The last two types of web hosting are managed dedicated web hosting, and unmanaged dedicated web hosting. Dedicated web hosting is a wise choice for someone who wants more storage and bandwidth, and also wants features that are not available with shared and free web hosting. In dedicated servers, users are not limited to a certain number of databases and e-mail addresses. Additionally, users usually receive a very high amount of bandwidth in comparison to other hosting types. The typical dedicated server plan provides the user with 500 to 1,000GB of monthly bandwidth.

In unmanaged dedicated web hosting, the user is the server administrator. This allows the user the greatest amount of control and flexibility. Of course, many people do not know how to handle the task of being a server administrator and do not want to learn. Therefore, this is not a viable option for some.

When looking for a web host, it is important to consider the purpose of the web site and what one’s capabilities are. Pricing for web hosts is dependant upon the support, reliability, features, and security one wants. Choosing a type of web hosting may seem like a daunting task, but simply doing research and making an educated decision should yield satisfaction and success on this critical matter.

The internet has been the great place for the profit and earning . The google boom and followed by yahoo , MSN and Adbrite . The publishers of the most trafficked and busy sites have been busy in pocketing dollars for the every traffic and pay per click Advertisements shown on their sites . But the poor site owners and the bloggers who have low traffic or visitors have to wait for months to collect their revenue which was earned from the site advertisements . But thanks to parking sites such as godaddy.com , Sedo.com , name drive and parked.com , the domainers have been able to earn the revenue from the ads shown on their domains . You do not need to purchase hosting or spend a lot on the web design and we developers when you can start earning simply from the purchasing the domains and parking them on the sites which are most visited .

There is no any superior skills of web design or programming required for this business . you can earn while you sleep and this goes on . Some sites also place the banner that the domains are for sale . Thus you save on advertisement costs as well as marketing costs . All is done by parking sites. No matter you have registered domain on any site , just point your domain Name Servers (DNS) to parked sites address . Just go to parking sites , write the tags or keywords matching the domains nature and functions select suitable template and the parked domain will start showing ads of google or yahoo according to the domain parking site’s ads partner and you start earning in minutes. Alternatively you can forward your domain to parking site such as www.sedoparking.com/yourdomain . To set up your domain for parking , just take a look at the following steps . Suppose you have purchased a domain from bravenet.com and you want to point the domain to Sedo parking the method will be as follows : go to bravent.com enter your username and password . click on the domain you purchased and then go to change name servers . The name servers will appear like this.

NS1.BRAVEHOST.COM and NS2.BRAVEHOST.COM. Its the place where you change the name servers and point it to the Sedo name Servers which are NS1.SEDOPARKING.COM and NS2.SEDOPARKING.COM. The easy step will be to change name servers to SEDO then press submit . The name servers are now changed and the ads will start showing on your domain default page . Remember that before adding your domains to parking sites , first change the current name servers to the parking site’s Name servers as parking sites have to validate the WHOIS information so as to know that you are the real owner of the domain .

If you are a beginner or running short of savings to this business then start from .info domains as these are very cheap . you will have .info domains from Godaddy.com in just $3.15 and its reseller ix-one.com sells the same .info domains in just $2.15 . The .info domains are much cheaper than .com , .org or .net domains which start from $6 dollars to 12 dollars and the .tv and .fm domains cost even more . I have registered 100 .info domains and parked. My average daily earnings are $6 to $8 dollars per day and you can earn $200 Plus Dollars in month while you sleep . The earnings will grow as the domains crawled by search engines and typed by users . after all you have nothing to lose but to earn whenever the default domains are shown to visitors or clicked . But be careful , never click on your domains ads yourself as you might be banned from parking domains and all earnings will seized . Always register those domains which are of very common nature such for freelance advertisements you can register www.freelancemania.info , for online hotel booking you can purchase a domain like www.ehotelbooking.info for any matrimonial sites just register www.bestmatrimony.com , for articles and content advertisements you can have domains such as www.articlesmob.info and www.contentmasters.info . if you have idea of showing ads of freelance writing sites then a domain like www.vectralance.info will be an added value . The educations searches are made on regular basis so you can register a domain like www.educationexpo.info . suppose that you want to register a domain which related to sports only then the domain like www.allsportsbuzz.info will be fine and attractive . The pay per click and cost per Million impressions websites are increasing day by day and many advertisers as well as publishers are keen to search the PPC and CPM based sites . Registering a domain similar to this keyword click could bring you more traffic such as www.vectraclick.info. Hundreds of the jobseekers around the world search for online job sites to register themselves and applying for jobs be they full time , or part time or home based freelance jobs such as www.jobsbay.org . The jobs keyword can earn you more dollars. In today’s world every one wants a fast and secure system for online money transfer and payment . The online payment systems such Western union , google checkout etc are in continuous demand and subjects of the searches made over the search engines . Registering a domain like www.epaypal.info sounds similar to pay pal can show the ads of online payment systems . The you Tube , meta café , daily motion video sharing sites have been very popular in social networking . every day millions of videos are watched and submitted by users for viewers . The domain such as www.videoeden.info will be very useful for cash parking as its key words will videos and videos sharing , video submitting etc over the internet . several people enjoy online purchases through various credit cards and debit cards such VISA , Masters Card , American Express , JCB , Diner’s Club . The parking a domain such as www.electrocards.info will be high traffic domains for earning more revenue for cash parking . Parking domains for travel sites is also more yielding as it includes trips , air flights , hotels , booking and are based on high CPC and CPM based . My only domain www.globaltravelguide.info concerning traveling ,earns me the amount of 10 domains per month due to its high trafficked and costly keywords .The technology based online shopping sites are also popular a domain such as www.vectracity.com will be a great value to attract more visitors or more searches over the net. Some people are keen of watching and keeping the latest models of cars and luxury costly cars . The domain such as www.luxurycarsclub.info will make some to visits the site where information regarding the latest models of the cars is available .Everyday hundreds of the bloggers and blog advertisers hunt for the sites to advertise or monetize the blogs adding domain such as www.bloggermedia.info will earn you more revenue whoever searches the key word Blog advertising , blog hosting etc. The website and domain registrar sites are always visited by millions to start their business over the net . The domains such as www.Superflashsites.com , www.yoursdomain.info and www.xtrawebsol.com are worth mentioning. The affiliate marketing has been very lucrative business for online retailers . The domain as www.affiliatemarketingtm.info will add value to your cash parking business . The online matrimonial sites are like viral articles so every one tests his/ her luck for match hunt . The domain such as www.getmarriednow.biz will be very handy and earn you more revenue from the cash parking which needs only one time investment . The development jobs are also most wanted due to handsome and lucrative salaries . The domain such as www.developmentjobs.info may bring some charm and money in your pocket . Thanks to internet which has provided many sources of revenue to the online traders . The online trading business has been very profiting as compared to offline trading . The domain such as www.etradeonline.info will certainly boost your revenues at higher level.

All the domains included in this article are the examples of cash parking . you must visit them in order to know how your parked domains will look like after parking them . I have visited many domain parking sites Go daddy , Sedo , Name drive , gold key , parking dots , parking panel , domain hop , parked , domain sponsor , active audience and trafficz But I will recommend you to concentrate on three parking leaders www.sedo.com . www.godaddy.com and www.namedrive.com . The Sedo and name drive are free parking sites where you can park un limited domains for free where as go daddy charges 3 to 4 US dollars for basic parking which includes 60% revenue share of the parked domains and 80% for the premium cash parking . suppose you earned 100 dollars in April , if you have Basic cash parking then you earned $60 and $40 dollars will go to go daddy share . If you have premium cash parking account with godaddy.com , then you will pocket $80 and $ 20 Dollars will go in Godaddy.com . The domain registration is the problem of all as all the customer need cheap and established registrar and web hosting . The godaddy.com and ix-one.com are the finest to start with .info domains by parking them on the sites . if you need hosting for any website then www.ehostingjunction.com is the best choice . so what are you waiting for ? just buy domains and park them on the sites and make money while you sleep . for further information please visit my blog at www.remoteworktips.co.cc

I have reviewed some web hosting services that offer good quality hosting at reasonable price. These are not the best hosting services and they are suitable only for starters.

GoDaddy web hosting:

GoDaddy is basically a domain registration company, but they also provide web hosting services.

Features:

With a choice of Linux and Windows based hosting, they provide fairly large disk space and monthly bandwidth and their feature list is more than enough for starters. Their economy plan, which is the base plan, offers 10GB of storage and 300GB of transfer per month. You can also get a domain name for $2 with this plan.

Prices:

Economy plan starts at $5 per month and the unlimited plan costs $15 per month. Considering the features offered, the economy plan is quite cheap as compared to other hosting services.

One good thing more about GoDaddy is that you can pay bi monthly, avoiding any long term contract in case you change your mind later.

Support:

There are mixed opinions about GoDaddy’s support. Most of the people say they don’t get a response within a day. While for some, their support has been good. This is a negative point for starters, as anyone hosting a website for the first time will definately need support at some point.

Promo/coupon codes:

promo10 – 10% discount on your entire order.

promo530 – $5 discount on any order of $30 or more.

promo749 – $3 discount on .com domain registrations.

Website:

GoDaddy.com

Namecheap Web Hosting:

Namecheap is also a domain registration company. It started web hosting business about a year ago and there have been a lot of positive reviews about it.

Features:

Their basic plan offers 5GB disk space and 250GB bandwidth. Their language support options are suitable only for PHP based websites.

But that can still support open source CMS and blogging systems.

Prices:

At $40 per year, the Basic plan is available only with annual or bi-annual contract, which is bad. You don’t want to get stuck eith them for a year in case find them not up to your mark.

However, you can get a their pro plan for $7 per month with lots of more features. They also give 14 days money back guarantee for all their plans.

If you are registering a domain name with them, you will get free privacy protection for first year.

Support:

Namecheap is reputed for good quality support. Most people have said they received a quick response from their support. This is extremely helpful for starters.

Promo/coupon codes:

SAVE7993 – 10% discount on new domain name registrations.

Website:

Namecheap.com

A Small Orange web hosting:

A Small Orange is a small and little known company but they have a lot of positive reviews. Their shared hosting plans are best suited for starters.

Features:

The basic plan called Tiny offers 75MB space and 1GB bandwidth per month with a yearly payment. The next one called Small is also suitable for starters, which offers 400MB disk space and 10GB bandwidth per month.

One good feature of A Small Orange is that they have a policy of “no artificial limits”, which according to them is placing no restriction on services that do not cost them, like adding domains, Emails etc. They claim, other hosting service providers place restrictions on these services to charge extra when you need them.

As a result, they offer unlimited databases, sub-domains, add-on domains, FTP accounts and email forwaders etc.

A Small Orange places restrictions on services that cost them, like disk space, bandwidth, memory size etc.

Prices:

The Tiny plan is available for $25 per year. The “Small” plan is available for monthly price of $5, still very cheap.

A Small Orange is not a domain registrar but they register domains through eNom.com for $10 with free privacy protection, a service for which most domain registrars charge extra fees.

Support:

Fast and friendly support is something A Small Orange is reputed for.

Although their quality of support has gone down due to increase in accounts, but still they are better than most of other web hosting services.

Promo/coupon codes:

15percentdiscount – Get 15% discount on every purchase.

5bucksdiscount - Get $5 discount on every purchase.

Website:

asmallorange.com

1and1 web hosting:

1and1 is a reseller hosting company and they have been quite problematic for some people. If you so some search about them, you will find that most of the reviews about them are bad.

But being a 12 year old company, they are quite well known too.

Features:

Looking at their features and knowing the fact that they have a large customer base too, there is little doubt that they are over-sellers.

The basic plan called 1and1 Beginner offers 10 GB storage and 300GB transfer per month.

They also provide free private registration. There are a host of features that are not available for the basic plan, they are only available for higher plans.

Prices:

The basic plan is available with a 6 months contract only at the rate of $4 per month. Its not good to have a 6 month contract with a company that has bad reputation.

They register domain for a reasonable amount of $7. If you buy a domain name with a hosting plan, you will get free private registration.

Support:

Their reputation for support is worst as it can be. But if you are you can tackle minor hosting problems by yourself, then their support should not be a big concern for. You are looking for a cheap solution after all.

Promo/coupon codes:

Not Available

Website:

1and1.com
